Conniving

They may look nice and innocent, but they're not! These two have teamed up on me and are conniving geniuses.

Yesterday I had planned to have a nice quiet evening with my sister. She was making a special trip from our parents house to my apartment, on a school night, to hang with me, her loveable older sister.

Little did I know ... Brit was behind the whole thing.

I was leaving at 4 o'clock after a long annoying day at work. Looking forward to time with my lil seester after babysitting some adorable neighbor kids.

3:20 text from Beth: Hey about to leave, I'll be there soon.

3:30 text from Brit: Ya I'm just uploading youtube videos and getting ready for campaigners tonight.

3:40 text from Beth: Hailey-I completely forgot I have a study group tonight. I can't come :(

Hailey thinks "darn. that's ok. i'll just be alone tonight and sad that I won't see Brit for another week and a half."

4:03 text from Brit: You're off work!

4:15 Hailey exits stairwell of building, looks out the window in the lobby and sees ....

BRIT STANDING IN THE PARKING LOT WITH A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS.

Hailey's heart leaps for joy

Hailey proceeds to exit building where she glares at Brit in bewilderment.

Really? What? You're kidding me.

They embrace. Hailey can't stop smiling.

Hailey proceeds to slap Brit across the face

just kidding.

Beth and Brit had the whole thing planned. Once again I fell under his trap of surprising me.

Folks, no one gets away with surprising me except him. No idea how he does it.
