Last night i got invited to dinner with some new friends for dinner at a sushi place. I agreed to go with every intention to try sushi for the first time in my life. (There was a time this summer where i was asked to go to sushi with a boy I liked but then proceeded to say I didn't like it... ruining his plan of "taking me out" ... and now he doesn't talk to me .... hmmm ... )
ANYWAYS.
I went and it was a blast! We were saying goodbye to a friend who is moving back to TX. We sat at the hibachi grill, ordered enough sushi for 20 people, spent a lot of money and had a lot of laughs. i had spicy tuna and salmon sushi and. it. was. good. what? good? yes, i said it. i liked it! whew! go me for being brave. yay for new friends and new taste bud action. i also ate ginger, that's some weird stuff right there.
another story: the hibachi chef was funny, i hesitate saying "great" because of what i'm about to tell you. he was white. he was about 40. he called me a "hottie" and tried to serve me alcohol, that i turned down with a resounding "i'm not 21!" oh man. awkward.
