Most, if not all of the kids have common knowledge of who Jesus is, so please pray for open hearts and further hunger to discover their Creator. I would also just ask specifically that they would become aware of their NEED for a Savior. Middle school kids need concrete illustrations to understand certain things and so hearing about sin and need for Christ is difficult for them to comprehend.
Please pray for wisdom for Dan and me as leaders. (it’s Dan’s first time leading at camp). Please pray for dynamics between girls and guys. Pray against cliques of any kind and that kids would feel included and that they belong. It’s always a miracle to watch God work out these details.
Last year I gave you all the option to pick one kid to pray for throughout the week. This was such a cool thing and made me feel like each kid was covered in prayer. If you’d like to do that again, let me know who you’d like to pick and I can give you some more information on them if you want to know more specifically how to pray for them as individuals.
Thank SO much for being such incredible support and prayer warriors for these kids to know Jesus. I am extremely excited and humbled to be the one to walk alongside kids during this potentially life-changing week. This year we had 8th graders share how they were impacted by WL throughout middle school and more than half of them said their 7th grade camp trip was the most significant in their pursuit to begin a relationship with God. This is a really important time for kids to make decisions about relationships at home and at school as they enter their 8th grade year.
Let’s join together as we cover these kids in prayer so that they may know and believe they are Loved by the Father!

Protect these ones from the enemy and surround them with your Truth and divine presence, that they might KNOW you Jesus and be utterly transformed by the renewing of their minds this week. We ask you for heart-changes that will bring forth life-changes. You are glorious God and worthy of every precious moment of praise!
